Dr. Yul Lee, Director of Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital received the Ministers award by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance for effectively coping with the spread of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) last year and making a great contribution in the development of public healthcare and economy.
During the MERS outbreak in last June, Director Lee operated perfect treatment system to care infected patients and prevented the spread of the deadly virus. Dr. Lee, as a director of a medical institution in Korea, also played a leading role in overcoming the crisis by actively taking preventive measures.
