Dr. Moon Soo Park of Spine Center at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital received the Best Podium Award for his excellent thesis on Using big data to reduce the reoperation rates after the cervical spine surgery at the 7th Annual Meeting of Cervical Spine Research Society Asia-Pacific Section held in The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul.
In his research, he suggested a way to reduce the reoperation rate by finding out the target patients who need reoperation ahead of time by using the big data from Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service.
The paper will be published on the SPINE, one of the worlds top SCI journals, with the title Reoperation Rates After Surgery For Degenerative Cervical Spine Disease According To Different Surgical Procedures : National Population-based Cohort Study within this year.
