On January 13, Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital signed an MOU for industry-academic cooperation with Oticon Korea, a Korean branch of Oticon which is a hearing aid company based in Denmark.
The aim of the MOU is to collaborate on the systematic and professional development of aural rehabilitation program, which is performed for patients with profound hearing loss once they wear hearing aids.
Dr. Jun Ho Lee, Professor of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and the lead researcher of the project said, Through this study, we will be able to increase the utilization of hearing aids and improve the cognitive abilities by repetitively presenting visual and aural stimuli to patients.
