Breast & Endocrine Cancer Center
A multidisciplinary special care team, incorporating professionals of breast and thyroid surgery, breast and thyroid radiology, medical oncology, laboratory medicine, works to treat patient with breast and thyroid cancer.
To minimize the deformation of breast, the team performs neoadjuvant chemotherapy before breast conservation surgery and oncoplastic surgery.
The center was designated as one of hub facilities for hereditary breast cancer consultation in Korea, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare(MOHW) and organized by the Korean Breast Cancer Society(KBCS) in 2011.
Burn Center
As one of the world’s best burn care facilities, it comprises medical professionals of burn surgery, plastic & reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, dermatology, internal medicine, and orthopedic surgery.
Our highly coordinated team provides burn patients with customized medical care, covering the whole process of primary first aid, mid- and long-term severe surgery, and reconstructive plastic surgery and rehabilitation of complications.
In 2006, the center was designated as “The Emergency Center for Burn Care” by the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs.
As the nation’s unique specialized burn care center, it performs acute burn treatment, functional and cosmetic reconstructive surgeries, skin revision, and skin rehabilitation.
Cancer Center
The Cancer Center provides comprehensive medical care services to patients with cancer.

Cardiovascular Center
The center’s modernized echocardiography aids the assessment of cardiac function and diagnosis of a valvular heart disease.
Angiography helps the diagnosis of a coronary heart disease, coronary intervention, carotid and peripheral vascular interventions, the diagnosis and intervention of congenital heart disease, and coronary artery bypass graft.
Electrophysiologic studies are valuable assets for the diagnosis and treatment of various arrhythmic diseases by quick radiofrequency catheter ablation within the heart.
Clinical Neuroscience Center
Equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities including PET-CT, MRI, cerebral angiography, and electrophysiological laboratories, the center is dedicated to managing cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.
The center is maximizing the care qualities by organizing patient-oriented medical teams of multidisciplinary collaboration with the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and social work team. In particular, the center drastically raises the rate of thrombolytic therapy by developing 'activation code for hyper-acute stroke in emergency' which is an order communication system incorporated with a messaging system on mobile phones.
Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Center
The center provides patients with a full range of aesthetic and reconstructive services.
Our specialists have significant experience in areas of botox and fillers procedures, scar removal surgery, calf reduction surgery, facial bone contouring surgery, use of stem cell, breast surgery, liposuction and fat injection, hair transplant, and axillary osmidrosis treatment.
With the most advanced laser equipments, the center also offers various services to treat not only general dermatology diseases but also perform chemical peels, microneedle therapy, autologous cellular regeneration, subcision, and punch excision. It also operates programs for patients with hair loss problem and seborrheic dermatitis.
Digestive Disease Center

Emergency Medical Center
The center treats people with potentially serious or life-threatening conditions to get them back as much as possible to a normal condition.
In the emergency room, a professionalized team decides on ways for primary care after observing patient conditions and considering life-threatening factors.
Then the specialists put them in the hospital for further care, or allow them to go home following initial treatment. Their responsibility involves emergency room administration, emergency treatment before arrival, toxicopexis, prevention of diseases and trauma, education for local residents and rescue members.
Gynecologic Oncology Center
At the center, gynecologists treat women with ovarian cancer, and surgeons perform breast cancer surgery and thyroid cancer surgery.
Radiologists use mammography, breast ultrasonography, CT, MRI, PET-CT to detect tumors, and pathologists accurately diagnose diseases by examining specimens from patients who had an operation. Also our hematology-oncologists provide quality treatments to help patients prevent relapse and metastasis of breast cancer.
Head & Neck Cancer Center
As a pioneer in the field, the Ilsong Head-and-Neck Cancer Center provides patients with well-organized care program including an accurate diagnosis, a tumor surgery, a functional and cosmetic reconstructive surgery, an anti-cancer radiation therapy, a treatment for phonation, articulation and swallowing rehabilitation.
Multidisciplinary consultation with otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, radiology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, hematology-oncology, and radiation oncology, strives for the best result.
Every year, the center cares more than 300 patients with head and neck cancer and thyroid cancer.
Health Promotion Center
The center’s medical team consists of specialists who detect the early stages of diseases, using the most up-to-date equipment.
Before medical examinations, professional coordinators check patient’s medical history, family history, lifestyle, diet and age through consultation.
Then the center provides appropriate medical check-up programs to patients. When a disease is detected, the multidisciplinary medical care team offers best quality services to them.
Lung Center
The center utilizes a multidisciplinary system which is operated by specialists of respiratory, allergy and critical care medicine, chest surgery, thoracic radiology, interventional treatment, and radiation oncology.
Comprehensive exams on respiratory and allergy conditions are possible with a set of testing tools for bronchial provocation, cardiopulmonay function, allergy reaction, lung and a whole-body PET-CT, fluorescent bronchoscopy, lung needle biopsy, bronchial artery embolization, and drug reaction.
Robotic Surgery Center
The center brought a high-tech surgical system, ‘da Vinci Surgical System,’ in 2007 for operations in prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, adrenal tumors, thyroid tumors, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, gynecologic cancer, and uterine myoma.
Sharing the latest medical skills and experiences with experts of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Weill Cornell Medical College, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the center is diversifying the role of the surgical system for high-risk surgeries such as bladder substitution
Spine Center
Mainly operated by the orthopedic and neurosurgical departments, this center comprises all the medical specialties taking care of all kinds of spine disorders at one place.
This is one of the top-ranked spine centers in the nation. Various surgeries of spine related disorders, ranging from an artificial disk in the cervical and lumbar region to a high-risk complicated cervical deformity, have been successfully performed.
At the same time, international collaboration with world-renowned spine surgeons in the U. S. and Japan is aggressively pursued as well.
Transplantation Center
Since the first kidney transplant in 1984, it subsequently succeeded the first pancreas transplantation in 1987.
The center is operated by well-trained retinal specialists including ophthalmologists, residents, and technical staffs, taking care of 12,000 patients with 800 surgeries every year.
The clinic has the most sophisticated medical equipment such as vitrectomy unit, phacoemulsification unit, cryothermy and endolaser. This was followed by a liver transplantation in 1995, an adult-to-child living donor liver transplantation in 2001, and then, a simulataneous pancreas kidney transplantation in 2002.
Recognized as “the Transplantation Center in Excellence” in Korea, it is also performing bone marrow and corneal transplantations.
