The history of Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital dates back to 1971 when the late Honorary Chairman Yoon Duck-Sun founded this hospital. It has since served as a key pillar in the growth of Hallym University Medical Center(HUMC). Situated in Yeongdeungpo section, in Seoul, we have shared joy as well as hardships with our neighbors. Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital has now grown to expand its bounds of medical services from local community to the whole nation; this was possible due to mutual trust with our patients. We proudly present our global competence with various international full-fledged affiliations: Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Weill Cornell Medical College in the U.S.; and hospitals in Europe and in Japan. We have recently completed providing training programs for burn care with Imam Ali Hospital in Iraq. We are confident that these educational programs have contributed to the post-war community reconstruction there.
For treating every patient as our family, we, at Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital are endeavoring to continuously provide healthcare based on humanity. We continue to reinvent our hospital as a medical group that cares for our patients with love. We want to be their truly trustworthy health partner. On top of this, let us emphasize our pursuit of disease-specific multidisciplinary collaboration by paying an extra attention to the specialized centers - burn center, skin aesthetic clinic, arthroplasty center, international spine center, geriatrics center, and center for industrial medicine. All the centers are capable of coping with highest standards of medical needs in their fields. The burn center, for instance, has garnered the nation's highest reputation for its scale, facility and quality.
